As we transition away from summer and into fall, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the four, full-time interns who worked with us over the summer. Each of these four young men had the opportunity to become fully immersed in the commercial real estate business, and each worked tirelessly to get the most out of their experience.
John Burch, Kishan Desai, Orren Prunty and Jonathan York worked on a variety of projects at Carter, bringing distinct skills, a commitment to the industry and a desire to support Carter’s mission. Each intern had either an interest or background in real estate.
Carter interns add value to the entire team and are given the unique opportunity to work on project-based tasks with a focus on research, analysis and marketing.
From the University of North Carolina, MBA candidate Orren Prunty completed a wide range of tasks ranging from market research proposals, to financial models for office buildings, to multi-family housing projects.
Jonathan York, a junior economics major at Princeton University, reflected on his time here: “I really loved working for Carter this summer, and it was great to get some hands-on experience.”
John Burch from the University of Alabama focused his efforts in the investment department while Kishan Desai from Grady High School worked extensively with Carter’s development team.
The Carter internship program offers ambitious students the opportunity to get real business experience, contribute to meaningful projects and accomplish important goals. Our strong heritage of interns from the high school and college level is a true testament to the mutually-beneficial program.
We value and appreciate our student interns and wish John, Kishan, Orren and Jonathan the best of luck.
