Carter Welcomes the Tetro Truck for New Student Housing Project
When Tetro’s property marketing and leasing partner, Cardinal Group Management, approached Carter with a unique mobile leasing center, better known as the Tetro Truck, Carter was immediately on-board to roll out the welcome wagon. In an effort to continue to push boundaries with bold ideas, Carter was excited about the innovative leasing strategy.
The mobile leasing office, designed like a food truck without the kitchen, is fully equipped to tour San Antonio-area festivals, parks, sporting events, restaurants and bars to promote the student housing community, Tetro Student Village. In addition to connecting with interested potential residents with community leasing agents, the truck allows students to experience a virtual tour of the community through the use of TVs and iPads. Note: while previous articles have stated that Tetro Truck is 14 feet long, that number is referring to the storage box size in the truck’s previous life. The Tetro Truck is, in actuality, 24 feet long.
Bisnow Student Housing reported last week, “Having the best student housing project is no good if potential residents never hear about it. Carter is taking a new approach to the problem for Tetro Student Village, which serves the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Carter senior vice president David Nelson tells us ‘wherever [Tetro Truck] goes, it can stop and throw a party.’ It blasts music and has games and snacks on board as well as an interactive tour of the 590-bed community and iPads for students to sign leases immediately.”

So far, the community is over 10% pre-leased for the 2014-2015 fall semester, with additional leases pending, at UTSA. In addition to the Tetro Truck, there is also an on-site stationary leasing office, open seven days a week.
