The severe winter weather that has unfolded across much of the Midwest and Northeast has yet to stop construction crews in Columbus, Ohio from making headway on Highpoint on Columbus Commons, Carter’s $50 million apartment and retail complex. The Columbus Dispatch recently featured the project in an article about winter construction.
“Brasfield & Gorrie and their subcontractors on our Columbus Commons site have been working through some challenging conditions this winter,” said Patti Neal, senior vice president of development at Carter. “Snow, low temperatures and wind all play into the productivity for construction on site. The team has done a fantastic job finding ways to keep working even when nature doesn’t want to cooperate.”
Highpoint on Columbus Commons is slated for completion in late 2013. The 325,000-square-foot project will include 301 apartment units and 23,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
