Multi-family project receives unexpected, but welcome, attention
Since construction started for Highpoint on Columbus Commons, nearly 200 inquiries are coming in each month. The project will include 301 apartment units, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom options, atop 23,000 square feet of retail space.
Kristi Fickert, senior marketing director at Village Green, which is leasing the project, told Columbus Underground that the interest has been reminiscent of what they saw when leasing The Banks. “Absolutely a similar response… we were just amazed at the response to the Banks,” said Fickert, noting that it was completely leased in four months, while most projects they work on take a year or more to lease.
The first units are scheduled for completion by the end of October, with the goal of wrapping the entire project by early 2014.
