1. How did you end up in this industry?
I had the opportunity to join the Equitable Life Real Estate Department and temporarily move to New York, just prior to the spin-off of the real estate group into Equitable Real Estate and the move back to Atlanta. I started in the Accounting Group and as the business grew I was able to move into other areas of the real estate business.

2. What’s one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?
I can cook! My specialty is grilling and one of my best dishes is smoked pork shoulder. I can make everything from shrimp creole to stuffed cabbage and peppers.

3. Best part of your job here at Carter?
The people. In any service business the only true assets of a company are the people. I appreciate the professionalism and dedication shown by of all the people I have the privilege to work with at Carter.

4. Who has been the most influential person in your career?
There is not one single person I can point to for this. Everyone has good traits and talents. I tried to learn from the strengths of each person I worked for and with.

5. Where in the world are you headed on your next vacation?
I plan to go to the Gulf Coast of Florida this summer. What can be better than the beach, fishing and fresh seafood?

6. What did you want to grow up to be?
I wanted to be a pilot. I have always been fascinated with flying.

7. If you could have lunch with a famous person – dead or alive – who would it be and why?
George Washington. We all know what he accomplished during his lifetime, but I would like to hear directly from a person who had the character to walk away from power and prestige at the height of his political career. He could have continued to be President as long as he wanted, but he was a true patriot and public servant who put the best interest of the Nation and others before his own.

8. Are you a social media user? Which platforms?
I use LinkedIn for the business connections it provides.

9. What’s on your bucket list that you’d like to share?
I would like fish the Florida Keys. I enjoy being on the ocean and in the outdoors.

10. Favorite thing about Atlanta?
It is close to Athens, Georgia. I enjoy going to UGA football games when I can.
