On-Site Project Manager to Support Carter’s K-12 Team in Enid, Okla.

Carter is pleased to introduce Tom White as project manager. Based in Enid, Tom is overseeing one of Carter’s largest K-12 education team projects — the $130 million program management assignment for Enid Public Schools that encompasses more than 20 public elementary schools. In his role, he is responsible for construction and design oversight, representing the owner on a full spectrum of ongoing construction projects.
“It’s a true pleasure to be working with the Carter team,” Tom said. “It’s both challenging and rewarding, and the people I work with are incredibly knowledgeable and talented. I see a lot of opportunity in my role.”
Tom has more than 20 years of experience in architectural design and project management for educational facilities, as well as commercial, religious and private sector projects.
Recently, he was involved in a 72,000-square-foot collegiate education facility at Northwestern Oklahoma University in Enid.  Additional past projects include a 55,000-square-foot data processing facility for Mutual of Omaha and a 50,000-square-foot distribution and support facility for Siemens Wind Energy, both in Woodward, Okla. Tom is well known for his attention to detail, from initial concept through design to final inspection.
In August 2012, Carter completed two public elementary schools in Enid.  The team provided construction and program management for the schools, which included Garfield Elementary School and Prairie View Elementary.  Recently, Enid Public Schools released the Annual 2010 Bond Program Report, which offered an impressive update. The report states that 99 percent of the projects are underway or completed; 48 major construction projects have been completed at 20 locations; six major construction projects are underway at four locations; and three major design projects are underway at three locations.
