I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Principal Shadow Day program at Capitol View. I have served as a mentor to fifth grade students and was delighted to have the chance to return as this years principal for a day last week.

We started off the day with a breakfast where I was able to meet the staff and parents at the school. I made a morning announcement over the intercom where I expressed my appreciation for the hospitality at Capitol View.

During the day, I was able to observe classes, sit in on a planning period, read to a group of first graders and chat with the fourth and fifth grade students about my life and career.

It was a truly rewarding experience and I look forward to returning in the future.

Carter has been recognized five times with significant awards by the Atlanta Partners for Education for its efforts to continuously contribute to the program. To learn more about Carter’s efforts at Capitol View, click here.
