Agnes Scott Science Building
Carter was selected as the program manager/owner representative for Agnes Scott University’s $135 million capital improvement program. One of the plan’s most significant elements included the development of a new $36 million science building. Originally the facility was intended to be an extension/renovation; however, it soon became apparent that the existing facility would not support the renovations. The result was a new 115,000-square-foot state-of-the-art research and teaching facility that, by its relocation, created a new quad and student space on campus. Included in the project are research labs to support the entire wet and dry science curriculum, as well as multimedia classrooms and seminar space. Construction of the building was completed ahead of schedule and well under the budget.
