HIGHPOINT ON COLUMBUS COMMONS
Downtown living overlooking Columbus Common Park.
COLUMBUS, OH
ABOUT THE PROJECT
As part of a major multi-phase project spearheaded by the City of Columbus, Ohio, the Columbus Commons Park replaced the former 1.3-million-square-foot City Center Mall in downtown Columbus, one block from the Ohio State Capitol.
The development of this nine-acre site included a signature urban park, a multi-million dollar Pavilion and sites for both residential and commercial development. Carter was selected to redevelop the residential and retail phases in 2011. Carter purchased a 2-acre parcel in the park and built two six-story buildings with 301 apartments and 23,000 square feet of retail space.
Highpoint on Columbus Commons was delivered in the summer of 2014. The residences have frontage on the park and convenient access to a pedestrian tunnel that leads to underground parking. Retail space includes restaurant options with both indoor and outdoor seating. The property is fully leased.
Carter sold its interest in the property in November 2015.
